THE DAY HAS COME
September 30th has a certain ring to it and sounds close.
Wednesday sounds really close.
Day after tomorrow, wow, that’s almost right now.
Well, the three scenarios above are our reality as we finish up the last minute details prior to our departure for Mexico. In a couple of hours a truck will (hopefully) come by and we will load our four big cardboard boxes containing our belongings onto it and ship them to Mexico.
There are still some last minute details to which we must attend but things are winding down. We are planning on pulling away from the TEAM parking lot at around two PM on Wednesday. We are scheduled to arrive in La Paz on October 16.
As we look back over the past months we are filled with thanksgiving for all of you who make our work in Mexico possible. Lois and I often talk about the really wonderful people the Lord has brought into our lives and it is true. Sometimes as we drive our car or walk along a path we simply list the names of people we know who have been instrumental in our lives. We are blessed.
The last couple of years have not been without turmoil as we have sought the Lord’s will for our lives and faced the uncertainties of moving back to Mexico, or moving to Chicago, or Miami or some other city from which to carry out my work as a senior director of TEAM. Consulting with many of you was what firmed up our decision to move back to Mexico to serve, and the response from our friends and supporters once the decision was made has been 100% confirming. We belong in Mexico.
We would really appreciate your prayers as we begin our trip and this new phase in our life and ministry.
